In these work environments, the decorative side (acoustic panels, indoor greenery, corporate communication and light scenography) that characterises many contemporary office spaces is consciously renounced. The project stops at the definition of large, bright, well-distributed and adequately soundproofed spaces, suitable for accommodating the various work functions and satisfying the needs of
an extremely business-focused population.
Some hints of decoration are allowed only in the area dedicated to events, mostly mirrored surfaces or polished marble as a sign of welcome towards visitors and moments of collaboration and sharing of the staff.
The counter at the entrance to the events area recalls Pistoletto's mirror paintings and, together with the iconic ' Moon' and the invisible 'Nulla' spotlights by Davide Groppi, constitutes at the same time a welcoming gesture and a reminder of social responsibility for the financial community.
The conference room overlooks Via Turati, with a view of the historic headquarters of Guido Donegani's Montecatini and its first expansion, Palazzo Montecatini 1, the older brother of Montecatini 2 where we are located.
A backlit ceiling, carved into diamonds, is an explicit reference to the backlit ceilings, mineral geometries and luminous coves that characterise some of Giò Ponti's works.
Finally, the two floors in Verde Alpi marble of the refreshment area on which the lights of Davide Groppi are reflected while the casual and fragmented geometries of the operations room recall the excitement of the city which, to paraphrase Alberto Savinio, is 'rising' like never before.
