SHOULD I STAY OR SHOULD I GO?

International corporates periodically review their real estate policies, evaluating the opportunity to renew the expiring lease or move to a new property.

This is a strategic choice, not only because it involves significant expenditure and investment items, but also because it reflects the company's positioning on the market, its aptitude for change, transformation or adaptation.

At the beginning of 2024, one of these firms asked us for a snapshot of the real estate market in the center of Milan to evaluate the opportunity to move or renew the lease contract, what in CRE jargon is called Stay VS Go.

Normally, for these evaluations, one relies on one's global Real Rstate partners. By assigning the task to a freelancer, the company knew it would not have access to the same amount of data, on the other hand, the freelancer does not have a portfolio of properties for rent, his view is, as far as possible, independent.

The study was done and gave useful results to our client, who took decisions accordingly.

A few months later we think it could be useful to share the conclusions of our study in a version for common use, thinking that it could be of some interest to our Linkedin community and, why not, create the opportunity for a new professional conversation.
